House Churches

Imagine sitting around the table with smiling faces you love and trust trading stories of what Immanuel (God with us) has been up to in your life, asking questions, encouraging one another, singing praise to God, and hearing from Immanuel together over a meal with communion. And what if these house church gathered in larger groups to celebrate together from time to time? Sound appealing? This is a taste of Hesed House. It isn’t another thing to add to your plate, it’s sabbath, meant to build shalom and hesed.

Visit a Hesed House

You’re here at just the right time as we’re just getting started and looking for our initial group of people to build hesed together.

We’ll meet in Keehner Meadows in West Chester, OH and begin early on with Journey Groups. Interested? Let’s chat!

Yeah, we get it. The idea of a house church or a network of house churches is different than most Western Christians have experienced, so you may not be ready to jump in just yet. Even for those who have been part of a house church could find our rhythms a little different. No worries! Let’s get together and talk about it. No pressure. No debates. Just open, curious communication.

Start A Hesed House

The idea of Hesed House started with people desiring a more relational and intimate experience more like the earliest churches of the New Testament. We’ve found loads of like-minded people longing for the same thing around the world. Our desire is to grow hesed and shalom and joy worldwide. Interested in starting a Hesed House, we’d love to talk about it!

Our Rhythms

The idea behind Hesed House is to start with attachment and let our rhythms and more specific vision flow from there, so as we go, our rhythms can change. Starting out, you can expect to be welcomed with a smile and a hug and spend a little time catching up with people over some refreshments. We’ll move to the table or couches, share stories of Immanuel encounters through the week and interact with those. We might even break into a song if it seems like the best response to a story, but we’ll also spend some intentional time singing together and spend some time remembering Jesus’ work to adopt us into His family with communion. If there’s time, we’ll have a time of teaching from Scripture with some interaction over it together. The time may wrap up with a benediction and meal before just letting people chat and make their way out as they’re ready.
